Leadership skills

Lori Bachman works with individuals at varying levels in the organization to sharpen and strengthen leadership skills. She does this through one-on-one discussions with individual employees, workshops and growth and development exercises.

For each individual leader is to:

  • Improve communication
  • Manage conflict consistently
  • Collaborate successfully
  • Build an effective team
  • Strengthen their strengths and identify challenge areas for growth

Lori uses the “Five Powerful Proficiencies™ of Leadership” model she has created that motivates each leader to identify and capitalize on their “5Ps.”

  • Pragmatics — Identify what you do well and can teach others; Utilize StrengthFinders 2.0 and Enneagram inventories as self-identification resources
  • Passporting — Identify who you know that could be a helpful introduction for those reporting to you or for your mentees
  • Presence —Hone the air of authority and command you possess as you enter a room, conduct meetings and deliver presentations
  • Position — Discover how you can leverage your position to inform others and methods to sculpt your current position into your next position of interest
  • Passion — Identify the passions and interests you possess that make you the “whole person” that you are; Create ways to share those interests in a way that causes others to feel included and know you better

Lori Bachman created The MentorShift Group to equip mentors and mentees with a practical and powerful mentoring system. The system is designed to equip those who use it to, not only flourish in their own mentoring relationships, but to be able to transfer its success to others as well.
